Clear the Air on lung cancer.
#LungCancerAwarenessMonth
On average, 16 Belgians
a day die from lung cancer.
Lung cancer is the second most common form of cancer in our country and unfortunately the most deadly. However, there are still many misconceptions about this disease. This campaign aims to dispel some of the myths about lung cancer and calls for solidarity with patients and people affected by this disease. Together we can clear the air on lung cancer.

Prolong
Every year, some 9,000 Belgians are diagnosed with lung cancer. The disease affects the lives of these people, their families, friends and the entire community.
ProLong vzw is an initiative by and for people with lung cancer or pleural cancer and their loved ones, who want to support each other and drive contact between patients.
ALK Positive Belgium
Anyone with lungs is at risk of developing ALK+ lung cancer. A change in the ALK (Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase) gene results in uncontrolled multiplication of certain cells that causes this type of lung cancer.
ALK Positive Belgium was founded by patients and their relatives to provide support to, advocate for and improve the quality of life of people with ALK+ lung cancer in Belgium.
